Özet (EN)
In this study, it is aimed to investigate the heavy metal concentrations of Carassius gibelio and the environment where the species is found. Carassius gibelio has a increasing spreading area and attracts attention due to its high reproductive potential in lakes, is a fish species that has been consumed for food purposes in recent years. With this context it is intended to determine the public health and ecological risk factors. For this purpose, in rainy and dry seasons, some heavy metal concentrations were determined in water and sediment samples taken from a total of 25 stations determined from 7 geographically and anthropologically important lakes (Beyşehir, Eğirdir, Çivril, Suğla, Karataş, Kovada and Gölhisar) in the Lakes Region, additionally, in muscle tissue and digestive tract samples of Carassius gibelio species obtained from these lakes. ICP-OES analysis method was used to determine heavy metal concentrations. The determined heavy metal concentrations were compared with the limit values determined by national and international institutions and organizations. Human health risk assessments and ecological risk assessments were made with the determined heavy metal concentrations. It has been determined that the average heavy metal concentrations obtained from muscle tissue are below the national/international limit values, they do not exceed the EDI, THQ and CR danger rates, so there is no risk for public health. TF values belongs to digestive tract were calculated and biomagnification was determined for Pb, Cd and Cr. According to the BAF results, accumulation from lake water to fish tissue was determined in terms of Cu. When freshwater sediment risk factors are calculated, it is that low-medium-high pollution risk and pollution rates determined which varying according to lakes and elements. This is the first study which conducted simultaneously to determine heavy metal concentrations in water, sediment and fish tissues in these 7 lakes. In addition, public health and ecological risk factors were calculated for the first time for these lakes.
