Abstract (EN)

Beyşehir, Hüyük and Derbent region contains autochthonous and allochthonous units which have different stratigraphical and structural features. The Cambrian-Eocene aged Geyikdağı Unit constitutes the autochthonous assemblage of the study area. The Geyikdağı Unit is tectonically overlain by allochthonous Permian-Cretaceous Gökçeyurt Group and Carboniferous-Cretaceous Doğanhisar Tectonic Unit, respectively. These units are tectonically overlain by allochthonous Mesozoic aged Bozkır Unit. All these basement units are overlain with angular unconformity by the Miocene-Quaternary continental rocks. Deformation structures belonging to different tectonic events have been detected in the study area, which is strongly affected by the Alpine Orogeny. The Lower Paleozoic rocks of the Geyikdağı Unit in the Beyşehir region underwent pre-Triassic deformation and their overlying Mesozoic units exhibit at least two phases of deformation. It has been determined that the autochthonous unit is folded with an axis predominantly in the northwest-southeast direction. In the Hüyük region, the units belonging to the Doğanhisar group were folded around the northwest-southeast direction axis and acquired Type-2 and Type-3 refolded interference patterns. Structural interpretations based on asymmetric fold analyzes showed that the direction of tectonic transportation in the Hüyük region is from northeast to southwest. The data obtained in the Derbent region show that the rocks of the Gökçeyurt Group underwent at least three phases of deformation and outcropped in a map scale dome structure formed by the interference of the north-south and east-west trending major fold axes.
