Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this study is meet to requirements of healty water for drink, usage and irrigation in the densely populated region where the water resources are insufficient. Detailed geological and hydrogeological studies of the region have been carried out to identify aquifers that can contain groundwater suitable for human, animal and vegetable health. Furthermore, the geological map of Üzümlü region at 1:25.000 scale was revised. In addition, studies were worked to prevent leaking water in the Üzümlü irrigation dam. The geology of the Beyşehir, Üzümlü region, which is located in the Central Taurides, consists of different units which can show different stratigraphic, lithological, tectonic and metamorphic features. In the region, the relative autochthonous Geyikdağı Unit and allochthonous Bozkır and Aladağ Units are observed. It's extremely difficult to obtain groundwater in this region due to the facts that the area is highly affected by tectonic movements, and additionally the rainfall and the groundwater reception basin are not large enough. According to the hydrogeological map, it was revealed that the groundwater flows from the southeast to the northwest. In accordance with the data set of the Schoeller diagram, the origins of waters were found to be the same. According to Piper Diagram, their characteristics are consistent with those of the CaCO3 waters. In accordance with the Wilcox diagram, it is a very good water class. In the US Salinity laboratory diagram, it is classified as C2S1 with medium salinity and less sodium.
