Abstract (EN)
This study was conducted out to determine how to be affected the yield and quality of pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) according to the amount of PAR (photosynthetic active radiation) intercepted by the pepper canopies irrigated under different irrigation regimes. Irrigation treatments; in the full treatment (S100), water in the root zone was refilled up to full capacity. In another treatments, the water applied was 20%, 50%, 80%, 100% and 120% of full irrigation.The solar radiation with hourly was measured by a pyronometer sensor located upon a plant canopy approximately 1.5 m above from the soil surface. The incoming amount of PAR througout the whole growing season was 2267.67 MJ m-2. Crop growth is mainly dependent on the amount of water applied, causing plants to have different leaf area, hence this acted by restricting the intercepted PAR, when were 453.96 (S20), 535.33 (S50), 561.63 (S80), 711.28 (S100) ve 648.11 (S120) MJ m-2. Also, The amount of cumilative PAR increased linearlly with the yield.
