Abstract (EN)

Pepper growers have an most important market in Turkey which is of fruit and vegetable production countries. The most difficult diseases are: Cucumber Mosaic Virus (CMV), Tabocco Mosaic Virus (TMV), Potato Virus Y (PVY) ve Tomato Spotted Wilt Virus (TSWV). The resistant varities are the most effective alternative solution in the struggle against viruses. The main goal of this study to develop pepper varieties which have several resistant genes (gene pyramiding) by using MAS. Pure and breeding lines that were obtained from seed companies have been examined by molecular markers linked to genes confers resistance to Tomato Spotted Wilt Virus (TSWV), Potato Virus Y (PVY), Tomato Mosaic Virüs (TMV). As these lines have been scanned for the pathogen resistance, they have been appraised by their yield and quality performances as well. Using moleculer markers in breeding, helps to reduce time and consuming and also to develop pepper varieties which have several resistant genes (gene pyramiding).
