Özet (EN)

Natural stones and ceramics have an important place since the existence of humanity. With the advancement of technologies, ceramic production is increasing and new raw materials are being sought as raw material reserves are decreasing and at the same time, the utilization of wastes plays an important role. Boron wastes such as granite and feldspar rocks can be used as alternative raw materials in ceramic production. In this study, the possibilities of using granite and feldspar raw materials found in Bozüyük district of Bilecik province and boric acid and borax decahydrate wastes produced by Eti Maden in ceramic glaze structures were investigated. Granite and feldspar raw materials obtained from nature as rocks are used as sand to meet the need for filling material in the construction sector. The rich mineral deposits of the Bilecik region offer a great potential for the utilization of local resources in the ceramic sector. Within the scope of the research, the chemical and mineralogical structures of granite and feldspar raw materials were examined, and the usability of boric acid and borax decahydrate wastes in ceramic glaze bodies was evaluated by creating a binary system and standard glaze recipe in red and white bodies at 1050-1100-1200OC temperatures. It is aimed to utilize the granite and feldspar raw materials of Bilecik-Bozuyuk region both locally and as a new resource for the ceramic sector and at the same time to utilize boron wastes in ceramic glaze bodies researches.
