But it is difficult to say that all countries have reached to the samestage at the same time.Today while there are some countries which show the peculiarties of anagricultural society, also there are some countries which reflect the latest peculiarities ofa knowledge society. One of the most important reasons which lie behind of this socialtransformation stage are innovations and period of time that is needed for innovationsin order to be assimilated by society.One of the areas in which innovations are implicated is financial markets.Because in financial markets, compared to other markets, transactions are madeintensively according to innovation and knowledge; and informatics technologies areused widespreadly. Using informatics technologies, especially using internet in financialtransactions, increase efficiency in financial transactions, decrease the costs of financialtransactions and services, increase the opportunity of profit and from the other hand,these technologies bring financial innovations at the same time.vıIn this study, how innovations and developments effect Turkish financialmarkets, in the transition process to knowledge society is investigated. The researchoutcomes show that innovations and transition process to knowledge society effectfinancial markets positively.vıı
