Abstract (EN)
Values are the set of criteria that determine how individuals behave like good-bad, right-wrong in society. The constantly changing and evolving social structure from the agricultural society to the information society also transforms the value system. The rapidly changing structure of the information society has deconstructed values by affecting the collective consciousness of individuals. In this context, the values that are primarily affected by the change and transformation that occur in the society shape it in this direction in order to ensure social integrity. The basis of the social structure is to exist with intrinsic values, but the question of whether the change in the social structure affects the values or does the changing values shape the society should be considered by social scientists in the last century. In our study, the changes in the value system, which is one of the important issues that social scientists should focus on in order to better understand and make sense of the information age we live in, are discussed in the sociological context. In our study, the information society and values were explained in a conceptual framework and tried to be examined with its historical dimension. Along with it, the sources of basic value changes in society were emphasized. In the last part, based on value changes, value structures that have undergone visible changes in society are discussed through literature studies.
