Abstract (EN)

Information design has emerged to present information in a clear, accessible, and effective way, reducing information clutter and providing users with a memorable experience. In parallel with the innovations brought about by technology, new approaches have evolved in information design. The development of computer, phone, and internet technologies has allowed for the emergence of new applications that enhance communication and interaction in information designs. Innovations such as augmented reality technologies have become widely used in information designs, especially in the recent past. Augmented reality involves blending real-world images with computer-generated visual and textual elements, creating visual richness. The integration of augmented reality technology into mobile devices has further popularized its use in information designs, enabling users to experience augmented reality applications with their mobile devices without the need for any special hardware. Information design, born with the purpose of facilitating our lives, has become a much more effective tool with the innovations brought by augmented reality technology. Within this framework, when information design is used in conjunction with augmented reality technology, it can be much more effective and memorable for users. Information designs incorporating augmented reality, which allow users to learn mundane textual information in a fun and interactive way, are becoming increasingly important and valuable. In this thesis, the concepts of information design and augmented reality, which converge in the fields of visual communication and user interaction, are examined from the perspectives of communication design, psychology, technology, software, and information architecture.
