Abstract (EN)

Intertextuality is a concept used to express all kinds of relationships between texts. Intertextuality, accepted as one of the criteria of textuality today, is used to define the open or closed relations that any text establishes with the previous texts in various ways. Intertextual relations, which appear in the forms of quotation, referent, allusion, pastiche, parody, etc., are an element that concerns the processes of making sense as well as the processes of creating a text. It directs the reader to reading comprehension on a wide platform formed by the relations between the texts. Therefore, it is important to bring together child readers with texts in which intertextual relations are presented with rich/intensive content, to support their cognitive development and enrich their intellectual, cultural, historical, artistic, literary, etc. knowledge. The rich content created by intertextual relations will enable child readers to go through versatile and deep reading-comprehension processes and will develop their critical and analytical thinking skills. In this respect, it is important to choose and use texts (children's literature products) with rich intertextual relations in Turkish education. It is possible to say that there are rich/intense intertextual relations in the narratives of Bilgin Adalı, one of the prolific writers of Turkish children's literature. In Adalı's children's literature, 'intertextuality' is most clearly embroidered into the texture of the works, and narratives from the Turkish and world oral literature tradition (myths, tales, epics, folk tales, etc.) are rewritten with transformations; It is seen that many motifs peculiar to oral literature are presented to the reader by being transformed in various textual contexts, and the reader is included in a meaning-making process in which various genres and texts coexist within the fields of literature, history, cinema, and art. The main purpose of this study is to examine the twenty-seven works of Bilgin Adalı from the narrative genre we have chosen within the framework of 'intertextuality/intertextual relations', to show the 'intertextual relations' in the works, and to trace the related texts. By examining Adalı's twenty-seven narratives, selected with the purposeful sampling method, within the framework of intertextuality, it has been tried to determine the relations of the texts with other texts and to reveal how Adalı's children's literature products can offer richness and diversity based on intertextual relations if they are used in Turkish education. In the study, the forms of intertextual relations in Adalı's narratives for children were determined and the appearance of the narratives in terms of 'intertextual relations' was presented through tables. Evaluations were made about the intellectual, cultural, historical, artistic, literary, etc. contribution of the features of the narratives in terms of intertextual relations to child readers. Keywords: Children's literature, Bilgin Adalı, children's narratives, intertextual relations, text selection and use in Turkish education.
