iiABSTRACTIn this study, Hicaz taqsim in traditional Turkish classical music is exeminedin the aspect of scala, ambitious, melodical progression (seyir) and melodical patternin this examination the obtained results are compared with various Hicazcompositions in the traditional Turkish classical music and it is determined that theHicaz taqsim include many fixed elements. The study is mostly based on statisticalcount and measurements instead of personal opinions and common ideas.
