Computer aided mine design and application to limestone quarry

In this study, a computer based open pit design had been performed for a quarrythat provides raw material to a cement factory. A special mining software were usedand details about the computer programme had been given in following chapters.The data obtained from the core drilling performed at limestone area, wasorganised to evaluate spatial distribution of the limestone. For this reason, variogramanalysis were performed on the raw data.In this thesis, using the results obtained from the Geostatistical calculations, blockmodels were formed, an open pit design was created and then production planingwas carried out. Reports from production plans were then used to provide minescheduling.
