Abstract (EN)

One of the present day's popular technologies is mobile technology. The aim of this study is to investigate the impact of mobile technology upon student success. For this purpose, an application has been prepared covering the subjects of Computer Hardware and Electronics course on the Android operating system platform. The research is performed with mixed method in which qualitative and quantitative data collecting methods. By using prepared success test, it was tried to observe the change in the students' academic successes. With educational software assessment forms aimed to evaluate the prepared application from various angles. Also with students reviews data collection forms tried to be detected students' views on mobile learning and application. This research was carried out in the Department of Computer and Instructional Technologies at Inonu University Faculty of Education in the fall semester of 2015 – 2016 academic years with sample group which composed of 36 people. The experimental group is eight male and 13 female totally 21 students; the control group is five males and 10 females totally 15 students. An achievement test used as data collection tool which contains 38 questions. Achievement test is used as both pretest- posttests. The study lasted 12 weeks. Prepared application installed smartphones to students in the experimental group. Nothing installed to students phone which in the control group. According to the results of the research participants in experimental group were more successful than those in the control group.
