Students' expectations from their job studying at the department of computer education and instructional teaching and the perception of computer teachers about their job working in the field

The purpose of this research is to identify the expectations of the students studying in computer teaching and the perception of computer teachers working in schools.This research includes the students studying in Computer Education and Instructional Technologies Department of Dokuz Eylül and Ege Üniversities and the 20 teachers graduated from the Computer Teaching and Instructional Technologies Department of Universities and working as a computer teacher in the official schools of Ministry of Education.In this research, it is tried to determine what the students expect from the job and the working area. In the same time it is expected to determine how the computer teachers percept their job and working area.For this research, the researcher developed ?Job Expection Scale? for the university students and ?Job Perception Interview Form? for computer teachers working in the area.The data collected from the scale was analyzed with SPSS programme. The data that is collected by voice records with interview form was analyzed. Content analyses were done as qualitative data was collected for the research. In addition, general meaning groups and themes were sorted out from the data, and their frequecies were determined. The results are given as percentages and frequencies. The data obtained through some questions were categorized verbally and interpreted.
