Abstract (EN)

Computer performance evaluation contains the test programs used for the computer performance measurement and statistical analysis techniques used for the evaluation of these test results. The purpose of this study is the comparison of synthetic performance evaluation tests and statistical analysis of their test results. Measurements are obtained by performing various performance tests for the same computer and for different computers. Descriptive statistics from the obtained mesaurements are calculated for each of these performance tests. For each performance evaluation test, descriptive statistics of the measurements obtained from the same computer are examined for repeatibility comparison. By conducting Correlation and Regression Analysis with the measurements obtained from the same and the different computers; correlations and causeeffect relations between the variables are calculated and evaluated. The existence of a correlation between the performance tests for the measurements obtained from the different computers is investigated and then it is shown that the correlation is better among the computers with the same CPU family. The models constituted with the regression coefficients obtained by vii using the regression analysis will be used for the estimation of the test result for each case without performing tests. Key Words : Computer benchmarking, correlation, regression
