Abstract (EN)

In computer-based music analysis has been created a music database in order to analysis music features such as key, pitch, interval distribution, melodic contour, etc. While generally music analysis operations are applied into raw data/audio files, symbolically representing of musical data are often used for such operations. One of the most widely used to demonstrate of music as symbolically is MIDI and many different tools have been developed to use MIDI in music analysis. In terms of prevalence, the foremost one is MIDI ToolBox in MatLab. The use of MIDI ToolBox in music analysis raises the need to convert audio files to MIDI and MIDI file created must be exactly compatible with the original/raw audio for the analysis process to be performed. However, MIDI data/files are usually prepared manually and through notation software. Today, besides preparing MIDI with manual methods, some of software that converts from audio to MIDI has been developed. In this study, while explaining the features and usage of MIDI ToolBox in MatLab, some of unique software that converts from audio to MIDI has been detected. Then, some music files in a pool has been converted to MIDI by this software. As a result of this study, the software that converts audio to MIDI has been compared with success.
