A Research for affection of computer technology on undergraduate architectural education

Recently, there is an extraordinary advance in software-hardware sectors, telecommunication fields and developing education technologies in the world. Therefore computer technology is not only changing the way of daily life and its form but also beginning to effect the structure of architectural education and training especially in developed countries. This doctoral thesis is a research that is an adaptation of computer technology in architectural undergraduate education and how this technology effects our architectural undergraduate education programme and how this programme adjusts to this interaction. The aim of the study, by means of examining of models in the world, finds out different scales and disciplines of the field of using computer technology in the architectural education. Moreover, the current architectural undergraduate programmes in Türkiye have been searched and updated according to necessities of new developments of the new computer age. In this study, computer as a training tool and as a presentation tool and as an educational tool are examined and a model is suggested how to use the computer technology in undergraduate architectural education and training in Türkiye.
