Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study was to evaluate the association of renal artery and renal vein variation in the same individual; in this way, the type of variations of the two vessels and the frequency of association is to reveal. In our study, 200 patients with abdominal computed tomography imaging who were admitted to Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University Medical Faculty Research and Application Hospital were evaluated retrospectively. In evaluated images, vertebral levels where both right and left renal arteries originate from the aorta abdominalis were determined as L1, L2 and L1-L2 respectively. In 8,3% of the patients with double right renal artery, retroaortic left renal vein was found. Double right renal vein was found in 20% of patients with double left renal artery. It has been observed that accessory renal arteries usually present in the posterolateral and posteromedial direction of the abdominal aorta. In our study, arterial variations were mostly detected in the right kidney, vein variations were mostly detected in the left kidney. We think that we have contributed to the literature by evaluating the coexistence of renal artery and vein variation which are not seen in the literature. Keywords: Renal artery, renal vein, variation, computerized tomografi
