Job satisfaction of teachers working in science and art centers

In this study, it is aimed to reveal the opinions of teachers working in Science and Art Centers regarding their job satisfaction. The research is based on the situation pattern of qualitative research methods. The research was carried out in the spring semester of the 2020-2021 academic year with a total of 15 teachers, 9 of whom are men and 6 of whom are women, working in the Science and Art Centers of Antalya province. The data of the study were accessed by open-ended questions created by the researcher. The data were obtained by the researcher by performing face-to-face and analyzed by descriptive analysis technique. In the findings obtained from the research, a significant part of the teachers stated that the physical facilities and technological infrastructure of the institutions were insufficient, and the students' interest and desire for the lesson were low. Teachers also stated that they had problems due to the increase in the number of students in their institutions in recent years, so it was difficult to allocate enough time for each student, and some classes were not given the necessary attention by school administrators. Based on the relevant findings of the study, it was concluded that the professional expectations of teachers could not be met by the institution, students and the program based on these reasons, and this negatively affects their job satisfaction.
