Abstract (EN)

The aim of this purpose is to examine the subject of "Pure and traditional classroom books" of the secondary school textbooks in Turkey, and the "Particulate Structure of Matter" of the unit. detailed information about the system and this project will be displayed. In this study, a questionnaire was prepared by us in order to analyze the subject of "Particle Structure of Matter", its historical and philosophical aspects in two secondary school science textbooks approved by the Board of Education and Discipline in the seventh grade level of secondary school in Turkey; Textbooks were evaluated through these questionnaires. In another phase of the study, 30 science teachers working in the secondary school institutions of the Ministry of National Education in Adıyaman were selected through a purposeful sampling and data were collected by conducting semi-structured interviews with these teachers. The analysis of the data obtained in this research, which was carried out in the form of a case study, was analyzed with descriptive and content analysis methods. These emerging data were evaluated and the findings were presented by examining and tabulating. In this study, the teachers stated that the textbooks were not at the desired level in terms of the history and philosophy of science. Likewise, the teachers expressed their opinions that this deficiency is being tried to be partially eliminated.
