AKTAY, Erol ?Information Ethics and an Application at Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) Sector? , Graduate Thesis, Ankara, 2010.The main purpose of this study is to contribute to the concept of information ethics and to investigate the perception of information ethics on the employees of GSM sector.This study composed of three main parts. First part consist of the descriptions on the ethic, morality, social responsibility terms. In the second part, ?Information Ethics? concept -which is unknown in our country- examined as ?information? and ?ethic? and the real ethical problems has been included.The questionnaire -which is applied at the research- consisting of several parts as; demographic characteristics, personal and corporate perception of information ethics. The survey carried out with 159 employees working in the Ankara campuses of GSM sector to contribute the literature.The research results were evaluated by using SPSS 12.0 software. Besides the frequency and percentaged analysis with regard to datas, chi square analysis as addiction test, Kruskall-Wallis H in three grouped comparisons, Mann-Whitney U test and order of importance analysis as for determining priorities were used. 0.05 was used as significance level. It was emphasized that in the condition of p<0,05 a significiance diffrent occurs and in the condition of p>0,05 a significiance diffrent do not ocur.The results of application showed that in terms of information ethic senses, differences in that demographical characteristics was observed. Also common and corporate ethic senses, pointed out some diffrences with respect to demographical characteristics.
