Evaluation of information systems within the scope of foreign trade transactions

Nowadays, enterprises have tried to make a difference by entering into new quests in the face of developing technology and new competitive conditions. Information systems are also one of the results of the companies' quest for difference. In recent years, enterprises have begun to benefit from some programs related to information systems in order to facilitate the jobs, increase efficiency, save time and ensure their employees to work effectively. It is observed that these programs which contribute to the development of enterprises are frequently included in academic studies. In this study which aims to identify and compare the foreign trade systems and softwares used in the enterprises operating in the foreign trade sector and examine the effects on the foreign trade volume, characteristics and effects of the information systems used by international trade enterprises are included. Qualitative data analysis method was used as the research method. In 106 enterprises in Istanbul, by interview technique, "Demographic Information", "Adaptation and Usage Levels of Employees", "The Effects of Software Used by Businesses in Foreign Trade", "Software Deficiencies and Developable Sides" were measured. This research has been carried out on enterprises in the field of international trade. An interview form consisting of twenty-four multiple-choice questions was used for the study. SPSS 20,0 statistical program and content analysis were applied for data analysis. As a result, it was evaluated that the information systems used by the international trade enterprises are effective on foreign trade. As a result, it has been concluded that foreign trade package programs are an important lever in the operations of international enterprises and therefore play an important role in the success of enterprises.
