A study on the perceived characteristics of innovation that impacts the adoption by users of the information systems used in building guiding and mass housing management: The case of Apsiyon software

As in many other sectors of the economy, the changes and improvements in technology have affected the construction and mass housing management sector in our country. The developments in the construction sector have resulted in not only the increase in the number of apartments and basic housing needs but also increase in the sports and recreational facilities as well. In addition to increasing the number of floor owners/inhabitants in buildings with these new settlements, the types of equipment of the sports and recreational facilities have also increased. Accordingly, thousands of floor owners/inhabitants and their personal information, knowledge about technical maintenance and repair of social facilities, the enhanced knowledge of the construction staff working for the building, too much data that need to be stored and managed have become a big responsibility and problem as much as to cause incalculability for the managers of constructions. At this point, in order to enable the managers to maintain the project value of the building, to ensure the satisfaction of the residents and to manage the enormous budgets they have faced, the needs for the usage of information systems has emerged. In this study, the aim is to detect the novelty properties of Apsiyon Software in the construction and mass housing management that have effects on the users considering adoption of the Apsiyon Software. At the same time, it has been investigated whether there are differences between the determined novelty properties and the innovation groups of individuals or not. The basis of the research is generated by Rogers' Diffusion of Innovation Theory. In this study, the poll was selected as the data collection method and the data were collected by sending surveys to the Apsiyon Software users' emails that were kept in the system. All the data have been evaluated by the analysis of variance (ANOVA) and multiple regression analysis.
