Özet (EN)

In this study, different types of heating fuels were discussed in a building project, heat loss and the cost of the building was calculated according to building types as non-insulated, insulated and insulated with insulation plaster. As a case study a project consisting of ground floor and 3 floors were selected and discussed. İstanbul city was selected for the location of the building due to expected big earthquake and influence of moisture and debated the quality of housing. For the heat loss calculations natural gas, lignite coal, fuel oil and mining coal were selected as fuel types. Heat loss calculations were based on TS 825 Thermal Insulation Standard Rules and Thermal Insulation Program was developed by İZODER solutions. According to comparison of fuel savings in Insulated buildings, building heated with fuel oil shows the highest saving with 39 % saving corresponding to 26893 TL. However building heated with mining coal shows the least amount of saving with 15 % corresponding to 10524 TL. In addition the cost of insulations was also determined. In this context, thermal insulation plaster costs 8244.34 TL, while the cost of insulation system consisting of insulation boards was determined as 31332.40 TL.
