Abstract (EN)

In this study, it is aimed to determine the Groundwater Level and Quality of Bingöl Center and Genç Dıstrıct by Geophysical and Geochemical Methods. The study was investigated by DES (Vertical Electric Drilling) method according to the Schlumberger electrode array. DES measurements were made at 27 points in total, 6 in Bingöl City Center and 21 points in Genç District. In the interpretation of the vertical electric drilling data obtained in the field, the resistivity values, depths and thicknesses of the layers were determined in the IPI2WIN program, and the hydrogeological data of the area were determined. After drilling the boreholes, the water levels and flow rates of the wells were determined, and groundwater flow direction map, groundwater flow map and groundwater depth maps were created using the SURFER 10 program. In this study, pH values, electrical conductivity and hardness values of water samples taken from boreholes were determined to be of Class I (very good) quality according to TS 266 (pH; 6-9) and WHO (6.5-9.2) drinking water standards. It has been determined that the waters collected from the city center of Bingöl and Genç district are in the class of Oligochlorinated waters, normal chloride waters, normal sulfated waters, and hypocarbonate waters. According to the Piper diagram, it has been determined that the waters in the study area have bicarbonate and magnesium, low sulfate and chlorine content, magnesium and calcium composition. It was determined that the Mg+2 and Ca+2 cations in the waters where the chloroalkaline index I and the chloroalkaline index II were calculated as negative and the Na+ and K+ cations in the rocks were replaced, and it was effective from the carbonate and silicate decomposition in the waters. According to the heavy metal analysis results, the water samples met the standards in all samples according to the World Health Organization and TS266 standards, in terms of electrical conductivity, hardness, Na+, Cl¯ and SO4-2 ions; It has been determined that it is in the class of very good quality waters.
