UNIVERSTY OF FIRAT * INSTITUTE OF SOCIAL SCIENCES MAIN SCIENCE BRANCH OF SCIENCES OF PHILOSOPHI AND RELIGION SCIENCE BRANCH OF RELIGION OF SOCİOLOGY 2004- Page: IX+98 This sudy, called visitation and visiting places in the city centre of Bingöl and central villages clarifies the case of visitation which composes an important aspect of puplic religiousness. As a comman case which is found in almost all parts of our country, the case of visitation is a matter of signifiance. Therefore, in this study, the case of visitation which composes an important aspect of religious life of Turkish society, is tried to be studied with the scientific methods of sociology of religion. Key words visitation, sacred, religion, belief.
