The investigation of global climate change as a disaster and the global climate change awareness of primary school teachers: Sample of Gumushane Province

In our study, where we highlighted the importance of global climate change as a disaster, the importance of the issue and being one of the most important environmental problems in our day, has led us to conduct a study on global climate change that will contribute to the literature. Within the scope of the research, firstly, a general literature survey about disasters and then global climate change is included. Temperature and precipitation data of Gumushane Province have been reached and the changes to date have been examined and future temperature and precipitation forecasts have been made. Within the scope of the research, a questionnaire consisting of beliefs, attitudes, behaviors and knowledge sub-factors was applied in order to measure the climate change awareness of primary school teachers. The sample of the study consists of 214 primary school teachers working in Gümüşhane. At the end of the study, the collected data were analyzed and the results were included. In line with the general situation that emerged, a general evaluation was made with the topics of discussion, suggestion and conclusion and the importance of global climate change was emphasized.
