Abstract (EN)
In recent years, building sector in our country has gained acceleration. As a result of this, new living areas have been constructed. Shopping centers are one of these areas. Shopping centers host a lot brands covering clothing, furniture, electronic devices etc. from different sectors. Also the shopping centers have been known as facilities where culture, art etc. events have been organized and hence people spend lots of time. Due to fact that, shopping centers are most important destinations with regard to the new living areas. In our world where energy is becoming more and more important every day, equipping shopping center with the heating, cooling and air conditioning systems, supplying optimum temperature and comfort conditions, to obtain the maximum efficiency from these systems have emerged as a significant issue nowadays. In this study, energy and exergy analyses of the cooling, heating and air conditioning systems in the shopping center which has 70000 m2 close area and located in Ankara, have been performed and evaluated. First and second laws of thermodynamics have been used in the energy and exergy calculations. In these calculations, the highest energy efficiency of heating systems is obtained in the boiler system, and the highest exergy efficiency is obtained in the fan coil system. As the same methods have been applied to cooling systems, coefficient of performance for chiller system, thermal efficiencies of air conditioning and fan-coil systems have been calculated. Maximum energy efficiency of cooling systems is obtained in the fan-coil system and the maximum exergy efficiency of cooling systems is obtained in the chiller system. When the results of the energy and exergy analyses have been evaluated, the highest amount of energy obtained from the system has not been usable energy forms, on the other hand it has been detected that this amount of energy has been rejected to the surrounding. This type of energy is called as anergy. Keywords: Energy analysis, Exergy analysis, Heating system, Cooling system
