Özet (EN)

Ships remain a research subject for researchers as they lack fundamentals about stability despite meeting the requirements of current laws. It is known that a ship on route is likely to be off the stable zone due to disrupting hydrodynamic forces of a ship roll motion. Non-linear roll equation was used for roll motion ın our study. Fİn roll stabilizer was prefered for roll motion? optimum levels. Fishing boat is our model ship. Stability analysis was conducted using Lyapunov method and ıt was realized that system was stable. Non-linear roll motion equation?s roll restoring moment coefficients and damping coefficients were expressed by empirical formulas. Computational fluid dynamics analysis had been done with Star CCM + package software for lift coefficients related to fin roll stabilizer. All values were used for control applications. Stability is more important subject for fishing boat because hunting and navigation conditions effect fishing boat significantly. So two different control methods were used for obtain optimum non-linear roll motion thanks to fin roll stabilizer. Roll motion was minimized via PID (Proportional-Integral-Derivative) and MPID control methods. Roll angle and velocity graphes were plotted for controlled and uncontrolled conditions. Graphes were compared eachother. It realized that MPID control method is more effective than PID control method.
