Abstract (EN)

There are several researches, especially in last decade, on internal combustion engines in order to increase the fuel economy and to decrease the level of noise and waste. That requires the more complete understanding of flow evolution and its interaction with the combustion in internal combustion engine cylinder. Fluid flow within internal combustion engine is extremely complex to analyses numerically or experimentally due to having time-dependent and two-dimensional characteristics with moving boundaries. Moreover, the flow is mostly turbulent in engine cycles, so, making analysis very difficult, than if it were laminar flow. The distinctiveness of the internal combustion engine flows is the bulk expansion and compression characteristics. Models of diesel engine combustion can be classified into two groups: thermodynamic and multidimensional. Thermodynamic models can in turn be classified into two subgroup; single- and multizone. For many years, thermodynamic models aided to both improve existing engines and develop new designs. Although these models do not use widely, provide adequate result.
