Abstract (EN)

Energy and exergy analysis of a power plant was conducted in this study. It was based on the water-steam cycle of the power plant. Main approach of the proses analyse was separating the flow diagram in 18 nodes. The input and output values was calculated for each process which was taken from power plant data and read from thermodynamic tables, also the energy losses was examined in this way. A feasibility study was determined with reference to exergy analysis outputs, the action plan was warming up the boiler feed water with using the energy sources in the process which was not used effectively. Boiler drum's continues blow down was the best proses for improvement. A new system was designed which use the waste heat and water of the boiler. There would be flash steam with a sudden change in pressure and in addition to heat energy of the blow down condensate. After completing the thermodynamic calculations the thermoeconomic analysis was made which include; capital cost, annual income and return on investment value. It was the noticeable result
