Abstract (EN)
With the rise in missile technologies, interest in structural dynamic studies is increasing day by day. Experimental modal analysis theory forms the basis of most of the structural dynamics studies in the field of aviation and space. In modal tests of missiles that are subjected to aerodynamic effects during flight, it is important to simulate the aerodynamic effects in the best way in order to apply the correct input excitation. Within the scope of this thesis, the scenario of applying the input excitation in multiple axes at the same time to the test item, whose dynamic characterization was performed during modal tests, was studied. Studies have been carried out to estimate the dynamic character of the structure with finite element analysis and experimental modal analysis. In the test models developed in the study, first, experimental studies were carried out on a simple beam model. Analyzes made with finite element analysis were verified with modal tests. Afterwards, testing and modeling studies were carried out using the MK-82 model, which is one of the ammunition types thrown from the aircraft wing. Comparisons of modal behavior when single-axis input excitation and multi-axis input excitation are applied are presented. Thus, in the dynamic characterization of a missile, the modal behavior for the multi-axis excitation case has been demonstrated both experimentally and by numerical modeling. It was observed that bending in all axes was obtained more clearly in the shaker tests performed with multiple inputs in multiple axes. The experimental study presented within the scope of the thesis confirms the effective benefits of multi-axis input excitation applications mentioned in the literature.
