Abstract (EN)
As a migration country in Turkey, teachers and students face different problems in multiculturalized schools in paralel with the increase in the number of foreign students. In this context, the problems experienced in schools with high number of foreign students and the expectations of the stakeholders constitute the problem of this study. The study was designed as a qualitative case study. Qualitative methods such as observation, interview, logging were used for data collection. The field research was carried out in the schools with a high number of foreign students in Polatlı district of Ankara for three months. Within the scope of the research, 50 teachers and supervisors, 15 students and 10 foreign family members were interviewed. According to the findings of the study, it was found that teachers who are foreign students in their class do not have knowledge about the concepts such as refugee, conditional refugee, asylum seker and multiculturalism. The majority of the teachers participating in the research have a critical approach towards the foreign students. Problems that teachers think they encounter during the education process of foreign students; "lack of language", "peer relations", "tendency to violence", "prejudices xenophobia" , "education profile" and "cultural differences" are classified under subheadings. Teachers made suggestions such as preparatory class for the adaptation of foreign students to the education system, "intensified Turkish education" , "seperate classrooms-seperate school" and in-service training for teachers. When asked questions about the problems faced by foreign students in this process, they expressed problems such as difficulty in learning the language, diffuculty in peer relations and academic failure.
