The effect of modernism and postmodernism as a visual expression language on posters analyzed by typography

This research thesis named "The Effect Of Modernism And Postmodernism As A Visual Expression Language On Posters Analyzed By Typography" consists of five chapters. First chapter is the part which the problem is determined and the aim of the study is stated. Second chapter is formed by reviewing the transition from modern period to postmodern period based on the thought systems, leaders and fundamental approaches of the period, by mentioning the properties of the art in modernism and postmodernism, and lasted with the review of the posters during the process of modernism and postmodernism. Third chapter is the historical conversion of typography in the form of regularity- irregularity and post typographic approaches are stated. The fourth chapter was lasted by under the heading of modern and postmodern approaches which solving with the typography in posters accommodating the posters of modern and postmodern in Turkey and in the world. As a consequence of this research , it is worked to enrich and deblurring of the modern and postmodern posters resolved by typography will be the road map for most designers in determining the problems in that period.
