Abstract (EN)
Iraq was a recovered geography by military methods at first; but later was lost by non-military causes by Ottoman Empire during the First World War, which meant politically creepage resolution period for it as well. The main purpose of our study has been to bring in a book, which was written by a British officer?s point of view who fought in the opponent fronts, from British library shelves to our country?s scientific world. Lots of books have been written up to now about the events happened between 1914-1918 in Mesopotamia. However, most of them are the works which have been constructed by researching derivative sources. This thesis is a primary source which is full of eyewitnesses of an officer fought in the war and was created not only by translation, but also by supporting with footnotes to show how the quoted knowlodge was commented by other sources. Key Words: First World War, Ottoman Empire, Mesopotamia, Iraq
