Determination of the factors affecting the location of a business and choosing the location: Exporter marble businesses example

In order for the enterprises to decide on the place of establishment and make the exact location selection, the characteristics of the place of establishment must be in accordance with the sectoral demands of the enterprise and the employees. This situation shows a rapid increase especially in the use of natural stone and marble. Businesses operating in the marble sector are exporting and growing in this sector. In this study, the determination of the factors affecting the establishment location of a business and the selection of the place of establishment are explained through the examples of exporter marble enterprises. Among the marble enterprises in Muğla, Burdur, Afyon and Denizli, which are the subjects of the study, the most appropriate establishment location has been determined in terms of exporter enterprises. Semi-structured interview technique, which is one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the study. The scoring method was used in determining the ideal place of establishment. As a result, the most suitable establishment location was determined according to the scoring method. Each factor was rated according to its weight in the selection of the place of establishment and the most suitable place was determined as Denizli. On the other hand, it was highlighted by the participants in Afyon during face-to-face meetings.
