Özet (EN)

Crisis management is a critical process that must be planned and implemented effectively from the beginning of the crisis. Decisions taken in times of crisis can positively change the crisis outcomes of the institution. A good crisis management strategy can increase the sustainability of the organization by responding quickly and effectively. This research aimed to measure the attitudes of Çankırı State Hospital employees in crisis situations. For this purpose, a survey was administered to hospital employees, and a total of 226 surveys were collected. In the first part of the survey, demographic characteristics were asked, and in the second part, 57 questions were asked to evaluate attitudes towards crisis management. In the first stage of the research, the differences between the demographic characteristics of the employees and their general attitudes towards crisis management, their pre-crisis attitudes, their attitudes during the crisis, and their attitudes after the crisis were examined. In the second stage, the differences between the demographic characteristics of the employees and the sub-dimensions of crisis management, namely early warning signal collection, preparation and prevention, damage propagation, repair and recovery, and learning, were examined. The Statistical Package for the Social Sciences 23 program was used to evaluate the data obtained in the research, and t-test and ANOVA test were performed to look at the differences in demographic characteristics and concepts. According to the results obtained from the analysis, a significant difference was found between the participants' crisis training status and their crisis management attitudes, pre-crisis attitudes, and post-crisis attitudes. However, a significant difference was found between crisis training situations and crisis management sub-dimensions of early warning signal collection, repair and recovery, and learning. For this reason, it is important to provide regular crisis management training in hospitals and to include scenario-based applications for moments of crisis. Thanks to this, employees can remain calmer in crisis situations encountered in hospitals, crises can be prevented before they grow or begin, and crisis situations can be overcome more easily.
