Abstract (EN)
The subject of energy efficiency has gained increasing importance throughout human history and has become even more significant in recent times. Particularly due to the growing population and technological devices, energy consumption has significantly increased, prompting scientists to work on this issue. All the efforts made have resulted in the emergence of active and passive methods to utilize waste heat and/or improve heat transfer. This study focuses on an active method used to enhance heat transfer, specifically examining the effects of a moving object within a fluid flow on the fluid dynamics and heat transfer. During the study, parameters such as the dimensions of the moving object, its position within the channel, the fluid velocity, and the rotational speed of the object were considered. Various types of fluid flow were analyzed, and the outlet temperatures and Nusselt numbers were numerically calculated as output parameters. External influences were not taken into account in this computer-based study; thus, interactions in an adiabatic channel were investigated. Before determining these parameters and system dimensions/geometries, hundreds of different combinations were tried, and it was decided to include the elements discussed in the results section. The results indicate that the dimensions of an object placed within the channel, its rotational speed, the fluid velocity, and the object's position within the channel have positive effects on heat transfer and consequently, the temperature of the fluid at the outlet.
