Erzurum Pulur village institute as a model of a village institute (1942-1950)

Village institues, one of the most important of history of republic in educational field, has a significant place for Turkish educational system in terms of its fountation period and aims it serves. But , this educational attempts only has lasted for 14 years that is too short for educational system. It is attractive that effects and reflexion of this system still continue today. In this thesis research , Erzurum/Pulur Village which is one of the village institues has been analyzed and research has been planned on three parts. In the prologue , general information has been given about education activies before republic and at the first years of republic. In section one , some information about fountation of village institues and its working process and also about curriculum has been given. Last part, the second part at the same time, gives information about history of Erzurum/Pulur Village , its fountation process, its working condition and closure of it.
