In the circumstances that customers? demands gain importance, the companies mustfulfill these demands in a short time that are changing fluctantly in order to increase the powerof rivalry. Today, many companies look for the ways that reflect customers? wants to theirproducts or services to meet the increasing demands and expectations of the customers. QualityFunction Deployment (QFD) is the quality technique that reflect the customers? demands on theproducts or service.In this study, the practice of the Quality Function Deployment Approach is used toreflect the customers? demands on production. As a practice area, Bursa Lignite Enterprise(BLE) is chosen. Firstly, the definition and benefits of Quality Function Deployment areinvestigated, than the process of Quality Function Deployment is discussed in detail and passedto practice stage. On this stage, thirty-eight questionnaire were asked that show customers?demands and needs for the 2 main customers, market and thermic power plant in order to findcustomers? critical needs. (37 market cusomer, 1 thermic power plant). At a later step,customer demands were ordered according to the degree of their importance and are turned intotechnique demands. Afterwards, for thermic power plant and market customers, quality housesthat show the relations between the customer demands and technique demands are built up andcommended on.In conclusion, in order to maintain the satisfaction of both the market customer andthermic power plant BLE should improve the parameters of each item dimension?s being at thedesired space after descreasing the rates of % ash, % sulfur and % humudity that are the mostimportant customer demands about the product that has been produced by it.Keywords : Coal Mining, Quality, Quality Function Deployment, The House of Quality, QFDand Coal Mining.
