The phases of a fashion designer while designing a collection and example of Simay Bülbül

Fashion designers create collections for certain seasons today. The designer should follow certain steps while creating original and trendy collections. The aim of this research is to explore what these design steps are, and how these conditions influence the design process. For this research, the phases of a fashion designer while designing a collection was surveyed: Simay Bülbül, who only uses leather in her collections, and produces in her own leather workshop, was observed.The research includes a theoretical part which focuses on the concept 'fashion', and collection design phases were analyzed. As the presentation phase of the produced collection, the fashion show process was explored. Fashion design business, and Simay Bülbül in fashion design business context were investigated. The research concludes with a general discussion on, and comparison between fashion sector and Simay Bülbül's processes.
