Abstract (EN)
In this study, a spoiler was placed at the rear of the model to increase the aerodynamic efficiency of the model road vehicle (Ahmed Body) with a 35° rear slant angle, the ceiling panel was tilted at certain rates and the geometry of the model road vehicle (Ahmed Body) was changed by giving a 10° angle to the rear end of the lower body. These geometric changes were applied separately to the model road vehicle (Ahmed Body) and then combined together to examine the effect on aerodynamic coefficients of the model road vehicle (Ahmed Body). The Reynolds number of the model road vehicle (Ahmed Body) is 2,8x106 and computational fluid dynamics analysis was applied to models related to different geometric modifications by taking and selecting k-epsilon turbulence model. A decrease in drag and lift coefficients was obtained. Keywords: Drag Coefficient, Lift Coefficient, Model Road Vehicle,Computational Fluid Dynamics, Geometric Modification
