Technology integration in language teaching is considered to be vital and beneficial for enhancing both teaching practices and learning outcomes. To this end, this study aims to design, develop, and implement the "Technology Integration in English Language Teaching" course, specifically tailored to meet the local needs and expectations of EFL teacher candidates. It also aims to measure the effectiveness of the course, impact of the course on teacher candidates' Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) scores and gather their opinions and suggestions on the course, for course evaluation and revision. This study employs a Design Based Research methodology. For the design and development phase of the course, needs analyses were conducted with 41 EFL teacher candidates and eight in-service teachers; along with expert consultations with five field experts. Course content and the learning outcomes were developed based on a comprehensive literature review, results from needs analyses, and expert opinions. In the implementation phase, the course was conducted with 64 EFL teacher candidates. Effectiveness of the course was measured through the realization of the learning outcomes, a TPACK-EFL scale (n = 42), and two focus group interviews (n = 8). The results demonstrated that the intended learning outcomes were largely achieved, reflecting participants' ability to apply both theoretical and practical knowledge. Furthermore, the course had a statistically significant positive impact on participants' TPACK-EFL scores. Participants also perceived the course as a valuable and necessary component of the English Language Teaching curriculum.
