Abstract (EN)
In this study, the effect of the study conducted with the French Contrast Method, which is the Post Activation Model, on the speed performance and vertical jump strength of amateur handball players was targeted. 13 handball players playing amateur handball in Rize province participated in the study voluntarily. When the demographic distribution of the groups participating in the study was examined, 53.8% of the sample consisted of the experimental group (n=7) and 46.2% of the control group (n=6) participants. When the age distribution was examined, 53.8% (n=7) and 46.2% of the participants consisted of the control group (n=6) participants. It was determined that the average height of the participants was 176.54±7.68 and their average weight was 69.46±12.00. The Experimental Group performed French Contrast Method training three days a week for 6 weeks during the second mid-season period. The Control Group continued the studies carried out in the mid-season.The Experimental and Control Groups continued the technical and tactical work carried out in the mid-season. Before the study, data on height, body weight, vertical jump strength and 20 and 30 meter speed measurements were taken from the Experimental and Control groups, and the data were statistically evaluated using the SPSS 25.0 statistical program. (p<0.01 and p<0.05) When the results were examined, a positive significant difference was observed in the vertical jump force data of the experimental group (p<0.01), while there was a small improvement in the vertical jump force data in the control group, but the improvement was not as significant as in the control group. 30m. While a significant difference was observed in the experimental group in speed tests (p<0.01), no significant difference was observed in the control group. As a result of this research; It has been observed that studies carried out with the French Contrast Method, a Post Activation Model, have a positive effect on the speed performance and vertical jump force values of amateur handball players.
