Abstract (EN)
In this study, it is sought to solve the problem of choosing and evaluating a subcontractor firm for a company that performs research and development in defense industry. To achieve this goal, first the basic subcontractor selection problem for the defense industry and the basic concepts related to the selection process are investigated. Subcontractor selection problem is a Multi Criteria Decision Making problem that requires more than one criterion to be addressed at the same time. The solution of the problem is obtained by using the Promethee II method, which is one of the Multi Criteria Decision Making methods under the umbrella of the superiority and sorting methods and combines the flexibility and the convenience for the user and allows evaluation of the alternatives on the criterion basis. The input criteria for this method are selected from the previous studies on subcontractor selection and the expert opinion based on the needs of the system, and the criteria weights are determined by using the Analytic Hierarchy Process method. The choice and the ranking between alternatives as well as the evaluation of the alternatives on the basis of criterion are obtained using the Promethee II method.Key Words :Defence Industry, Subcontractor Selection, Promethee, MCDM
