A section futuwwatname Usûl-i Tarîkat-i Bedeviyye: Text-review

In this thesis, the work called Usûl-i Tarîkat-ı Bedeviyye, which deals with the methods of the Bedeviyya sect, in which the tradition of writing the futüvvetnâme has passed through the historical process and ultimately preserved its existence in the sects, has been examined. The concept of futuwwa has shown itself as an indicator of moral perfection in the relationship of man with man and other things since the first centuries. Although it has changed its color in the historical process both in the Ignorance society and in the Islamic geography, it has always remained in a structure that expresses the whole of values. The works that describe the methods of futuwwa morality, which are the sum of these values, are futuwvetnames. The historical stages of futuwwa and the meanings in which it was used were discussed, the close contact of futuwwa with Sufism and even the use of futuwwa in the same manner by the first period Sufis was determined, and finally, the position of futuwwatnames in the axis of the sects known as sufi futuwvetnames were mentioned. By determining the place of futuwwa within the circle of mysticism and the place of Usûl-i Tarîkat-ı Bedeviyye within the circle of futuwvetname, the understanding of futuwwa in the axis of the sect has been tried to be revealed. The translation of Usûl-i Tarîkat-ı Bedeviyye, which is registered in Yapı Kredi Sermet Çifter Library, has been written and included in the 3rd part of our study.
