Özet (EN)

In the textile sector, which is one of the leading sectors in terms of employment, rapid growth was realized between 1970 and 2000. Many textile factories were opened with the help of rapid growth, but these factories, operating with high profits due to the conditions of the day, did not pay due attention to energy efficiency. With the competition in the global market, factories have had to take cost-reducing measures in the final product. In this study, energy efficiency studies that do not require high investment costs and which can pay for itself in the short term and start to make a profit are emphasized. Insulation works were made for uninsulated valve groups and hotlines in the factory and steam leaks, air conditioning system, compressed air line leaks, factors causing inefficiencies in compressors were determined. Investment costs, wasting energy amounts, their financial values and simple repayment periods of these factors causing energy inefficiency were calculated. The study carried out in a textile factory is suitable for businesses of all sizes without significant additional costs. It is thought that the study can benefit the competitiveness of the textile sector which provides high employment in our country with the world. It is hoped that it will guide other businesses with similar processes and encourage them to work on energy efficiency.
