Abstract (EN)

This study was planned as a descriptive study in order to determine the effect of work-family conflict on the quality of care, job satisfaction and intention to leave. The research population consisted of 764 nurses working between 09.11.2020 and 10.01.2021. The research sample consisted of 227 nurses who accepted to participate in the study and filled out the questionnaires completely. The questionnaire form was created as a result of the data obtained by the researchers through literature review. Ethics committee approval and institutional permissions were obtained to conduct the study. In the analysis of the data, comparison analyzes, correlational analyzes and impact analyzes were used in the package program called SPSS (IBM SPSS Statistics 23). As a result of the analyzes, the mean score of the quality of care of the nurses is 7.55±1.66 (out of 10), the mean score of comprehensive job satisfaction is 5.96±2.44 (out of 10), and the mean score of intention to leave is 3.06±1.48 (out of 5) over) was determined. When the structural equations are examined, it is determined that the most important factor affecting the work-family conflict is the support of the manager, and the support of the manager affects the work-family conflict negatively, and an increase of 1 unit in the manager's support causes a 0.81 unit decrease in the work-family conflict. The manager support factor explains 66% of work-family conflict. It was determined that a 1-unit increase in work-family conflict caused a 0.77-unit decrease in patient care quality. It negatively affects the quality of patient care and family conflict. Work family conflict explains 59% of the patient care quality factor. According to these results, work-family conflict is one of the main determinants of patient care quality and job satisfaction. Since the support of the manager has a negative effect on the work-family conflict, the hospital management should give importance to the support of the employees.
