The research data were obtained using the structured questionnaire and the "Chronic Kidney Disease Knowledge Questionnaire" scale. Permission and ethics committee approval were obtained from the institution where the study conducted. Mann-Whitney U test, Spearman's correlation analysis and kruskal Wallis H test were used to evaluate the data, p <0.05 was considered significant. It is determined that the average age of the participants is 4196 ±12,02 (min: 18 max: 65) years, %66,6 of them are women, most of them are married (%79,1) and %58,3 are not working, about one third are primary school graduates (%35,1), %54,3 of the participants have an equivalent income-expense status, and %43,4 live in the city center. The total knowledge score of the participants from the chronic kidney disease information questionnaire was found to be 11.79. In multivariate analysis, it is found that those with a high level of education and those with diabetes or hypertension diagnosis had higher knowledge scores. No significant difference is found between the participants' gender, marital status, employment status, income status, smoking-alcohol use, sports or walking status, and whether they use the internet or not in terms of chronic kidney disease knowledge level. Language validity" method and pre-application were made in the adaptation of the scale to Turkish. For language validity; The scale was translated from English to Turkish by a sworn professional translation company. As a pre-application; The thoughts of 20 attendants on the items and whether the items were understood or not were evaluated. At the same time, xii internal consistency (Cronbach Alpha) analysis was performed. The Cronbach's alpha (α) value of the scale was found to be 0.757. According to the research results, it is possible to say that the CKD awareness of the participants is moderate. Increasing public awareness of CKD may be useful for early diagnosis and follow-up management in Turkey. Keywords: Chronic Kidney Disease, Awareness, Validity and Reliability
