Supplier selection for transformer maintenance service of a manufacturing plant using multi-criteria decision making methods

Today maintenance in businesses is of great importance when considering market competition in terms of dynamic production, quality energy, machinery and equipment continuity. Suppliers directly affect the process at the point of service and effective maintenance for large-scale maintenance. For this reason, businesses take great care to evaluate the performance of suppliers with the highest ability to meet business needs and to determine the ideal supplier. In the course of the ideal supplier selection process, the criteria and criterion weights determined by considering the past experiences, expectations, working conditions and fields of activity of the enterprises are extremely important. In this study, the supplier selection process which is an important link in supply chain management, has been applied to the transformer maintenance service process of a business located ın Denizli city. As a method; Fuzzy FUCOM (Full Consistency Method) was used for weighting of criterias and final values of weight coefficients were obtained with LINGO software. In the evaluation of alternatives, Fuzzy EDAS (Evaluation Based on Average Solution Distance) and Fuzzy MAIRCA (Multi-Qualification IdealReal Comparative Analysis) methods were used. The ideal supplier was determined by ranking the alternatives based on the results obtained and the results of the method were compared to each other
